Compliance deadlines are coming. Outsource the property admin.

The deadlines

Registration opens region by region, from 15 December

Under the Renters' Rights Act, every private rented property in England must be registered on the PRS Database, with details including gas safety, electrical safety (EICR or EIC), EPC and licence information. It costs £65 per property, renews every year, and each region has three months to register. Agencies cannot market or manage for a landlord who should be registered and is not.

Opening first

West Midlands: 15 December 2026 to 14 March 2027
East of England: 15 January 2027 to 14 April 2027

Agencies in these two regions have the least time to get every property's records in order. If that's you, now is the time to start.

The fees are fixed. The cost of handling them is not.

Every agency pays the same registration fees. What differs is what it costs to collect, check and chase the information behind them. Here is an example for an agency managing 700 properties with two people on compliance admin.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Can Kimon register our landlords on the PRS Database?

Registration is the landlord's responsibility, and agents can only provide information with the landlord's agreement. Kimon collects and checks the information registration asks for and chases what is missing. We provide administrative support only: we do not give legal advice, carry out gas, EICR or EPC inspections, or guarantee compliance.

How much does Kimon cost?

£850 a month per team member, which is £10,200 a year. How many team members you need depends on your number of properties and the work in scope. We confirm your fee in writing after a call, before anything starts.

Can Kimon work with our existing lettings software?

Yes. Our teams log into the tools you already use and follow your processes. We don't ask you to change systems.

Where is the team based, and how is our data protected?

Contracts are with Kimon Services (UK) Ltd, and our delivery team is based in India. A dedicated Customer Success Manager oversees the work. We are registered with the ICO and work to UK GDPR.
